Asbestos Awareness
This 3 hour course is aimed at individuals who may, in the course of their duty, come into contact with asbestos containing materials and is delivered in an interesting and informative way, covering the main elements of the approved Code of Practice.
It is estimated that over 4000 people die every year due to asbestos related illness
The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006 were introduced to regulate the presence of asbestos in non-domestic properties and since 2004, the Duty to Manage has been made explicit to persons who are in control of work, repair and maintenance of buildings.
This 3 hour course is aimed at individuals who may, in the course of their duty, come into contact with asbestos containing materials and is delivered in an interesting and informative way, covering the main elements of the approved Code of Practice including:
- What is asbestos?
- Why do we need to learn about it?
- Where will it be found?
- What are the ill health effects?
- How do we work safely?
More organisations are insisting that contractors have asbestos awareness certification – don’t get left behind!
