This site-based course encourages participation throughout and educates staff in the pitfalls associated with incorrect lifting & handling of materials and objects
Manual handling is one of the biggest causes of accident/injury in the workplace and costs industry and business 100 millions every year .
The Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 place a duty on employers to provide suitable and sufficient training to all staff, for their health, safety and welfare.
Non compliance with this has resulted in substantial costs and fines, notwithstanding the damage to your reputation. The implementation of the new H&S (Offences) Act in 2009 will see fines of up to £20,000 and/or prison for failures to comply. There has never been a better time to invest in a training strategy, don't get left behind!
The Health & Safety Executive have identified that the majority of Manual Handling injuries are caused either by incorrect technique or an existing condition. Together they are a recipe for disaster and at ForeFront Training we believe that our IOSH approved Best Foot Forward training package offers an innovative solution, reducing pressure on individuals by education and relevant practical training.
